The Cross-reference dialog box has a Separate Numbers With option, but
it is always grayed out. Does anyone know what this does and when it is
available?

THanks,

I would guess it's available when the cross-referenced paragraph number is
an outline number (such as 2.2)?

That's what I guessed too, but the option remains grayed out in that
situation.

Hi Peter:

Yeah. I am not sure. I think it is supposed to implement the \d switch on
the REF field, which is supposed to be able to specify the separation
between the Chapter number and the Page number in documents that have
folio-by-chapter specified.

But I can't get it to work either. I think it's a bug.

Cheers
